I don't really know what to say...

...other than, "Get it together, boys."

And that doesn't really... inspire.

Even more pathetic were the defensive mishaps in the last game we played.   I mean, honestly.  We used to have good defense--maybe not World-Series-run-2007-Colorado-Rockies caliber defense, but still good--and just like our offense, our defense has evaporated.

You may have noticed that my posts have become less specific and more just general rants.  This is what summer has done to me.  When I'm not looking at colleges (geology departments, anyone?), unpacking, trying to work on my book (and by "work on," i mean "begin"), or bitching at Comcast trying to get us FUNCTIONAL INTERNET AND CABLE IN THIS FREAKING HOUSE (you also may have noticed that I am not frequently in a good mood), I might be on astros.com looking at boxes.

I'm hitting MMP probably three times this week--going tomorrow and Friday (JOBA!), and possibly Sunday.

I've decided that I'm going to start doing scorecards.  I think it would help me focus.  Especially when I don't have cable to watch any of the other games--I need to enjoy it as much as I can, and scorecards look like fun.

I've officially gone bonkers.
